So, I got two guppies from petsmart... bad idea. One of them died after one day and the other survived, but he has ich. I treated him for ich for about a week and saw that he no longer had any parasite attached to him. So, I got two new guppies and put them all together in one tank. Well, I got up this morning and saw that the guppy with that survived the ich has another outbreak of it. Was I right to remove him from the tank and separate him and treat both tanks? Thanks.
I recently had an outbreak of ich in my tank which was mostly guppies too. I used kordons ich attack but it didn't seem to help and after 2 weeks of nothing getting any better my local pet store suggested turning the heat up gradually to 86 and to leave it there for a week or two. The heat treatment worked great.
