Luckily all the wal-marts around me (and I imagine in the southeast) are discontinuing selling fish. My store wasn't the worst, but was definately not very good.

Unfortunately, when wal mart stopped selling fish, the quality at pet supplies plus dropped like a rock, since if you wanted fish, that was the only place to get it, and they knew it.

Every time I go in PSP now, I can find at least 6 dead fish and 1 or 2 with an easily diagnosed and treated disease.
(Also, their filtration system is shared, so 1 fish with ich means all the tanks will probably get it.)

Always bought my fish from breeders or from friends who had fry. I knew how my friends took care of their tanks. Only two stores I ever used and they were well scoped out places. One I will check into again when I go downstate. But not for fish.

Its always nice to hear about people being responsible where they purchase their fish and giving business to the right kind of places.
