German Blue Ram - HELP PLEASE (disease form included)

German Blue Ram (female) is showing red spots on her sides (about where she has the purple belly at mating time). NO idea what it is, have moved her over to my Qt tank. Hoping for some insight, willing to answer any questions you have. PLEASE HELP, I LOVE THIS FISHIE!


1. Size of tank - 20g tall

2. Water parameters
a. Ammonia - 0
b. Nitrite - 0
c. Nitrate - 25/30 ppm (2 days from WC)
d. pH - 7 kg and hg unknown at this time
e. Test kit - API liquid

3. Temperature - 78*

4. FW (fresh water) or BW (brackish)? Fresh

5. How long the aquarium has been set up? - 10 months

6. What fish do you have? How many are in your tank? How big are they? How long have you had them?

6 black phantom tetras, 9 months (went in right after fishless cycle)
1 Black Neon, 2 months (only survivor of school of 10, qt and treated for ich BEFORE entering comm tank)
1 German Blue Ram 6 months

all fish are between 1.75 and 2.25 inch long

7. Were the fish placed under quarantine period (minus the first batch from the point wherein the tank is ready to accommodate the inhabitants)?

yes

8. a. Any live plants? Fake plants? Live plants (ozelot sword, madagascar lace, crypts, and various stem plants)
b. Sand, gravel, barebottom?
sand, generic petco branded, black.
c. Rocks, woods, fancy decors? Any hollow decors? 1 med piece of DW, not hollow

9. a. Filtration? Aqueon filter rated for 40 gallons
b. Heater? Aqueon 100w

10. a. Lighting schedule? What lights are used? 7 hours per day 1 t5ho, alternate between a 5000k and 6500k. (too much algae with both ever since i got rid of duckweed)
b. Any sunlight exposure? How long? none

11. a. Water change schedule? weekly
b. Volume of water changed? 25-30%
c. Well water, tap water, RO water? tap
d. Water conditioner used? nutrafin Cycle and Aqua plus
e. Frequency of gravel/sand (if any) vacuumed? weekly

12. Foods? Spektrum New Life
How often are they fed? Every other day

13. a. Any abnormal signs/symptoms?
b. Appearance of poop? no
c. Appearance of gills? no

14. a. Have you treated your fish ahead of diagnosis? no
b. What meds were used? n/a

15. Insert photos of fish in question and full tank shot if necessary.
cant get a picture showing the issue bc flash reflecting off glass.

try turning flash off of camera... ppl will need pictures to help diagnose

Added pic. You can see BRIGHT red spots that do not seem to be her normal "purple belly" that German Blue Rams usually have.
