Exclamation fungus?

ok so i have a tank with 6 rummy nose and a pleco

stats:
30gal long
set up for a month or so
ph:7.4
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:5ppm

i cant get a pic because it is night but i can explain.
it is only on one of them, it looks like a giant piece of ich but like 5 times bigger, he has 2 spots, one on top of the eye and one on the bottom fin. my dad says he prob scraped agains sumthin and got infected.
are the other fish safe or should i q/t them to?
can i q/t them in a newly setup tank with old water and filter matured?
could i just take the pleco out and add him to the other tank that i originaly wanted to put him?

ok so my next problem. since this tank has something in it i want to get it out. this means i could tear the whole thing down and redo it all. i am planning on making this tank into a leaf fish tank so i would like to almost completly redo it. i could take it all out but idk how to clean everything, just a rince with som water? how bout the plants? is there another way to get rid of the stuff withought breaking it all down (although i might break it down anyways)?

i hope u guys can help me!
THANKS in advance!

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

Oh an no, for the moment I'd def not recommend tearing your whole tank apart. First figure out what it is, treat it and cure the tank. Tearing it apart should always be the very last resort.

sadly he died. idk how long ago he died because i was at school but his eyes were all puffy which i didnt see swimming around (just because he has died?). im determined to figure this out so here ar some pictures.

everyone else in the tank looks normal so i dont think they are infected, but i want to be sure.

For the moment, don't get new plants, let's figure out first what went wrong and if your other fish need help.
Did the dead one have any white or cotton like spots to him?
Do any other Rummy's show ANY abnormal slights, even the slightest? Rubbing on decor? Swollen eyes? Any discolored dots, anything?
