Im sad to report that he has 4 different spots throughout his body now I have him in a small quarantine with filter and heater, and have some aquarium salt in it in hope of killing the bacteria/fungus. Anyone have any advice on this? Oh yeah, and his scales are falling off...

ill try and post some pics, but he is in a 3-5 gallon tub with a whisper 1-3 filter and heater. Ill try to get the best quality pic. If not, the wound that is on the top of his head has not grown but it has spread to certain parts of his head. He is discolored in those areas and i can see small amounts of scales coming off.

I think he might have gotten some bad head trauma

I sure hope not :( i might have hit him with the gravel vac. I also added an air stone to the tank so he has a cycled filter, airstone, heater, and a floating plant. He seems to be more active than ever right now, he is swimming up and down and all through out the tank at a pretty good rate. I don't have direct light on the setup in hopes of calming him some. What can i do to help him recover from this?

I honestly don't know, but I know someone who might, I think what you're doing should help alot, and also if he's in a quiet area of your house. Message Oldfishlady, they should be able to help a LOT more then I can

Just an update, He hasn't gotten any worse and he is still holding color and is eating good. Oldfishlady had me put him on a 3-4 tsp per gallon of aquarium salt bath and i have more air coming into the tank now since salt depletes oxygen. I think he might make it through this! Once i start seeing improvements im going to start conditioning him with stress coat to help heal the wounds.

Not in any way to contradict what you were told, but 3-4 tsp per gallon seems way to high. Most things I've read say 1 tbsp per 5 gallons. Just don't want you to encounter more problems. If I'm wrong I apologize.
