Is this fish sick?

Hi

Ammonia levels of my tank reached 0.25 ppm a while ago. I have lowered this now but still some of the fishes are acting weird, staying at the bottom and hardly moving. I have attached a picture of a platy which seems to be doing same thing. Is this ammonia poisoning? I see reddish area which might be an indication.

You're fish could be uncomfortable from the ammonia levels this could cause them to stay at the bottom. Red gills and lethargy are classic signs of ammonia poisoning. If I were you I would keep a really close eye on the levels and perform frequent water changes. Also maybe pick up a bottle of Prime to help neutralize the ammonia. Is your tank cycled?
