I'm back with another question.
I have been treating one of my fish for tail rot. I have him in a QT tank and he is doing quite well. In fact, I'm getting ready to put him back in my regular tank tomorrow:
Unfortunately, I found another fish dead today. When inspecting him, it looks like he suffered from tail rot too. I'm not sure how I didn't see this as I have been looking at my fish everyday and checking for issues.
Anyway, my question is this: Since I now have had two fish with tail rot, should I treat the entire tank? I have visually inspected all my fish that are left in the tank and see NO visual signs of fin/tail rot or distress.
I am also treating the large tank for Ick. The last treatment was 2 days ago. I will be doing a water change and adding my charcoal back tonight
I have a 60 gallon tank.
8 lemon tetras
4 serape tetras
3 upside down cats
2 mollys (one in QT tank)
1 mystery snail (in it's own tank due to toxicity of ick treatment)
Ammonia 0.25 (same as tap water)
Thanks for your thoughts.
