euthanizing by freezing

Is it really better to have the water slushy first? Would just really cold be a good enough starter so it would be more gradual?? I was just thinking about when I step into a really cold shower unaware I gasp for breath.

Please advise I have one I definatley need to euthanize and the other is very close at this rate the second will probably be dead in the next 2 days. I fear there maybe more in the next week or so and one is pregnant

thanks Sadie

I'm really sorry to hear that.

I'm afraid I have no idea as I have never euthanised a fish before. The clove oil method sounds more humane than freezing but again, I have never euthanised so I can't really say.
