Emerald Cories almost dead
I believe it was from cold temperatures, but here it goes: I had a single Cory in a 20 gallon tank with some platies. The tank was about 80ish degrees. I decided to get two more to make the minimum sized group. So I took out my original one, and floated it in a 55 gallon tank, along with the two new ones floating in their bags. They were left there for about an hour, then I came back and released them. That was last night. This morning I check them and I thought they were all dead. I check everyhting I can, and it turns out one of the heaters was no longer working. Then tank was at 71 degrees at the top. I quickly gathered all three and they are now floating in a bag in my 20 gallon tank. My original one is upside down. I am really worried. Could it be from the cold temperature, or is there some weird thing happening. Anything I can do?
By the way I just did water changes on both of my tanks. So I'm not worried about the ammonia levels and such. The fish I have in the 55 gallon tank are fine with the colder temperature I guess, but in case the other heater I have in there was turned up.
