I put a piece of driftwood into the tank after vacuuming the gravel, and before completely refilling the tank. Now I have what looks like soap suds floating on top. I'm down to a bare minimum of treatment chemicals. The fish still look OK, but don't know for how long. What do I do?

How well did you clean the wood before placing in in the tank? Sounds as if there was some type of residue on the wood.

Also, where did you get the driftwood? Did you get it from the LFS or collect it yourself?
