Do my fish have "Ich"?

I sometimes see them scratching the sides of their body against the substrate, driftwood, etc and was wondering if it could possibly be Ich. I haven't had any dead fish in the tank at all in over a year and I don't see any visible signs that I can tell showing there to be a problem. Can the freshwater aquarium salt cause this iching behavior?

Flashing could be a sign of a problem...what are your water params? What kind of fish are we talking about, how many are in there, tank size, other fish in the tank, are they eating normally, and why are you adding salt?

edit: and are there any other signs like gasping or unusual behavior?
