disease contagiousness

Hi!

I'm wondering if anyone out there has any information on fish diseases and their contagiousness. If you have a tank with a sick fish, in my case, a fungal infection, does that mean that all of the other fish will potentially get it? After quarantining a sick fish, what can you do to ensure that your other fish won't get the same infection?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Fungal infection.. That's a tough one. I took my infected fish out and got some regular fish meds (Forget the name, im sorry). But after I took him out the rest of my tank got it, killing all my swordtails.

I'm sorry I dont have any good advice. Maybe google it some. Good luck
