| | Could my goldfish have an enlarged heart?
I have a very large goldfish, about seven inches long, I've had it for about six months now. A couple days ago I noticed that the area under his pectoral fins has become swollen, now there are soars on this swollen area, I think those might be due to bumping into one of the fake plants he likes to chew on. Is it possible that he has an enlarged heart. I've looked on the internet and asked at several stored that sell fish and the closest answer I could find is an article about zebra fish diseases and in it the picture looks just like my gold fish. This is the picture of the zebra fish. I know that comet gold fish don't have the best genetic lines with all the inbreeding. Has anyone heard of this, any input would be great. Thanks.
