Blue Ram's scales starting to fall off and Oto's look a bit bloated

Hello guys, the title says it all. Here are my tank parameters:

20g tank
Plants: one big sword, several crypts, three java ferns, java moss, and some others I don't know the name of.

Fish:
1 Blue Ram
8 Lambchop Rasboras (they've only been in the tank for 3 days)
3 Oto Catfish
7 Ghost Shrimp

Water parameters (typical)
pH: 7.2 - 7.6
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: < 10ppm
Gh: 10
Kh: 3

The Oto's seem to be behaving the same way, but they hide so much that I'm not sure. They have grown since I got them about.. a month ago maybe. The Blue Ram has also grown and aquired more color, so I assumed it was happy as well. The tank used to have some danios which I donated to the LPS just because they were too much of a hassle. Three of the danios died because they were stressed out by the bigger Danios. Aside from these, one died almost as soon as I noticed his symptoms, he had a bent spine and then just died.... The last one died after we noticed some dropsy.. We took him to the LPS, and they recommended euthanization. The Blue Rams, Oto's and shrimp seemed unnafected. The Oto's have looked bloated for a while now, but they still seem to be themselves... what is their normal behavior supposed to be? The Blue Ram seems fine, but today my fiancée noticed that some scales had fallen off. He is behaving normally, active and stuff. The Oto's feed off algae, I feed the blue ram some cichlid pellets and the rasboras get normal flake food. I ocasionally drop one algae wafer ni the tank, but the shrimp get to it before the Oto's even notice. The Ram takes a few bites out of the wafers as well. Please help guys. I really love these critters.

Not sure what would cause your German Blue Dwarf Ram's scales to fall off, or what's going on with your Oto's, but here is an article regarding "bent spine" and fish tuberculosis.

One of the Oto's was really bloated and died. He had dropsy before he died. Did a gill scraping on the LPS and they did not find any parasites or external bacteria. The other two oto's look a bit bloated, they've been isolated but we'll see what happens. Apparently the Ram's scales falling off could've been caused by something that hit him because they are growing back.
