seems that all of my barbs have attacked the biggest of the pack.

there are 2 green tigers and 1 regular tiger. also 5 gold barbs and a RTBS

recently i left for an evening only to come home to a bruised and cut up gold barb. it started to fade away until today when i caught all of the fish attacking her.

she currently has a gash just before her tail that seems to be getting worse.... apparently they like the taste of fresh meat.

sad i know. but its interesting to see the carnivore "only the strong survive" nature of the fish.

Tiger barbs should be kept in schools of 6+, otherwise they will nip other fish. If the fish are all going out of their way to attack the fish repeatedly, chances are that the fish is weak and this is pretty common amongst other fish. Also, most barbs are omnivores. ;) My tiger barbs are constantly eating my plants :(

omnivores you say? bit of a whoops on my part there hahaha.

ive been thinking about getting 3 more tigers, but i am worried about over stocking my tank... it is a 20 gallon long. and as it sits i think im on the cusp of over stocking.
