I have had my angelfish for over a month and i think its a girl so im calling it lucy. lucy was doing fine till yesterday and shes been on the bottom part of the tank for the most part. its a struggle for her to go to the top and eat. and now shes barely moving shes trying but cant. we have treated the tank with ick for the last 3 days cause a angelfish we got a 2 wks ago died yesterday. what do i do? can i do anything to help her?
I'm so sorry to hear about Lucy. I lost an angelfish as well, everything was fine until I went on a trip over the weekend, with strict instructions for my grandma on how to take care of the fish. I came back and she said it had died. I still don't have closure because I'm unaware how it died and no one else did, but I think it had something to do with the water conditions. Angelfish are really pretty too, what a shame.
i lost all 3 of my angelfish within days of each other.then i lost 1 of my 2 sucker fish and a snail. maybe eventually ill try later with an angelfish..
my male cobra guppy was in the tank with my angelfish..him and my sucker fish arent doing to good. we got a medication..im just hoping it works.
Have you checked your water parameters? i always knew my water was getting bad when my pictus catfish sat on the bottom, not swimming. I treated my tank for ich not too long ago, but ich never caused my fish to act strange, they went about their normal business, just with the white spots all over. If all of your different fish are acting strange, it sounds like you might be having an ammonia spike and might be a good thing to check into. i really don't know what else to say with the lack of information about your set-up.
Sounds like you had a spike in chemicals in the tank. How long has your tank been up Angel dont do well in a tank that hasnt been completely cycled. Spikes in ammonia and nitrates will kill angels. just my 2 cents sorry about your fish.
