i got a baby marbled angel i had him for about a week
just after i got him his fins started to fall of
i think they started to grow back now but i kind of want too know what it was
Something very similar happened to my young angel a couple months back. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but he died a couple days later. Just make sure the other fish aren't bothering him, becuase my usually peaceful fish started to bully him when that happened. I hope someone can give you an answer to what exactly is wrong, and a solution. Good luck.
I recall your previous posts which included pictures of firemouth cichlid. Angel fish with firemouths if you have indeed placed the angel in the same tank, are not compatible. As for Angelfish and Damage to fins without the information requested in "stickey" at the freshwater emergencies and diseases topic it would be hard to say. I suspect a combination of water quality issues and aggressive nature of firemouth as possible causes and feel confident in making that statement after reading your previous posts.
right now he is in a thirty gallon with 5 corys 1 feather fin synadontist and a blue ram
but it was prabably the six gold barbs that were in the other tank with him
he should be fine now 8)
btw i only had water quality issues in my one tank he wasnt in either of those tanks
It will be three weeks to a month I should think before you see improvement in angelfish ASSUMING that water parameters are in it's favor, Did fishstore tell you that angelfish and goldbarbs work well ? It is up to those of us who care for fish to DO RESEARCH on fish before we purchase them to ensure that we do not directly cause injury or death would you not agree?.
yes my prims are great
and belive me i have done tons of research and i now they are preaty
active for the angel and no i take no advise from my lfs (i used to :x and have suffered the consucwinces )
