don't do another tonight wait till tomorrow.
make sure you add dechlorinater to the new water,
sorry you are loosing fish,i hate it when that happens,:(
you may loose some more too,sorry to say.the ones you have
are not hardy enough to withstand the cycle process,Fishless cycle
is better,however you need to hang in there,and a couple of water changes a week,will hopefully help to keep the toxins down a little
for the fish,cycle can take between 6-8 weeks,if you could ask the local fish shop to donate a sponge or gravel that would help your
filter,do you know anyone with a fish tank ?

Am I in the clear yet?

Hello again!

It's been a week since my panic post. I've done 2 10% water changes and one 22% water change since then and have not lost any fish - YAY!

My tests are still showing that my Nitrite and Nitrate levels are very high (the other day my Nitrite was at the highest level on the scale) but my Ammonia has gone down to nearly 0.

My new test results are:

Temp = 26 degrees C
pH = 6.8

Ammonia (NH3) = 0.25

Nitrite (NO2) = 5 ppm (mg/L)
Nitrate (NO3) = 80 ppm (mg/L)

I'm just wondering if this is good? I'm assuming that as long as the Ammonia levels are going down the Nitrite/trate will follow?

I'm going to move forward by doing to 20% water changes a week if that sounds like enough.

Just want to make sure I am back on the right track. I think my poor little guys are getting used to all these water conditions changing all the time. Hopefully they make it!

Thanks for your support :D

your not far away :) (unlike donkey lol )
carry on and it won't be long,once the nitrite it 0
then a water change regulary will keep the nitRate down.
