This is not about fish and it's like a warning rather in case there are other inconsiderate (like myself) fish keepers in the world.
I was cleaning the carpet with a vacuum cleaner. In summer I relocate my house plants, so one of them, in a heavy pot and on a tall stand found itself in the same room with two of my tanks (actually it is good for the plant because of extra humidity in summer).
Somehow I felt that the plant was on my way and I moved it gently just a foot off, but it got close enough to reach my tank if it decided to fall. And fell it indeed!!! Slowly, gracefully, wholeheartedly, all I could do just watch.
The d--n thing hit the very rib of the tank and I saw the markings of clay on the glass. But the glass itself was intact. If you look closely, you may notice some minor damage of the glass wall but not to the extent that it will crack or so.
Anyway, the whole thing was such a shock for me that I couldn't control myself and called my husband (who was away from home) just to ease my pain. Of course he hit the roof, so angry he was!
I wonder if anyone has ever had anything like this; and what could be the power or the blow a tank could withstand without being damaged. My pot was about 6-8 kg. :)
