AHHH!! I REALLY NEED HELP!

I wasn't really paying close attention to my fish the past few days because I've been really busy. But today I had some free time after Christmas dinner so I went over to look at my fish. I didn't see him at first so I turned on the filter (he likes playing with it. i know its not good though). he was sucked straight out but he wasn't swimming away this time. i turned the light on brighter and noticed he lost his color and wasn't moving at all! i looked closer and he was still breathing. there were also spots on the end of his fins and tail that looked like blood. i called my friend that had given him to me and she asked if he was hiding in a corner and yes, he was. he was behind the female's "cup". i have her against the tank with some room between her cup and corner. so i guess he was hiding there. she said that he had something called dammonia. but i think i heard wrong because she didn't have good reception. so please, PLEASE help me!!

Did you test the water? What are the results?

What type of tank? What type of fish?

When was the last time you did a water change? How much?

Why was your filter off? And he was 'sucked' straight out of what? I'm very confused...
