I lost more....my rubber lip pleco, all of my cardinal tetra's, my blind cave tetra, hatchetfist, mickey molly....my tank now has the gourami's, guppies, molly, marigold and pleco left. I was using that treatment that you had listed. After the multiple deaths I just want to get rid of it and fast. I went the chemical way for right now to try it out. I put in 5 tsp of rid ich and I will see how that goes. Temp at 83 degrees...

Ph 7.6
Nitrite 0
Amonia 0
Nitrate somewhere between 40 and 80.

:(

Your nitrate is very high. For the ich, I would add salt, raise the temperature to 82 degrees with strong aeration, and finish it off with quick cure. I cured my tank this way and the only loss was an old cherry barb with a deformed spine. Even the hatchets remained.

Everything happens for a reason, but the reason isn't always good.

What fishkid is advising is what I had to end up doing. My clowns were the first noticeably ich infected fish in the tank, then my barbs. I used the heat/salt protocol for 12 days and I felt like I had given it long enough time before resorting to meds. The heat/salt cleared up the spots on the barbs but the clowns kept showing up with new white spots every day. The heat & salt were killing my plants so after 12 days I did a massive water change (50%) and began treatment with RidIch. After seeing the last white spot I medicated another two full days. There were no fatalities. I've been ich free since treating the tank. Not sure it that helps you; just wanted to share my experience.
A water change is in order with the nitrate readings you post.
I'm really sorry you've lost so many fish

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Well I went and got the rid ich. Did 1 treatment, then the next morning did a water change and added 5 Tbsp of salt back into the tank. Left all day to go do some stuff with my girlfriend (fish were swimming around fine when I left) and when I came over later that evening everyone was looking horrible. White spots were worse than before and one of my fish was free floating and every now and then would do some twitches. I put in another treatment of rid ich but it was too late. Sunday morning they were all goners....I think that this may have been more than ich as I have been doing heat/salt treatment for almost a week with no results and the rid ich didnt help at all for the short time period that I did have. The snails are still alive though! I pulled the rest of the fish out (still under 14 day guarantee from Petsmart so i will be taking them back today) and I stripped down the tank, cleaned everything, bought new rock, bought a new filter pump to go with my new Emperor 400, boiled all my decorations and driftwood, and put everything back in. The snails are living happily in the tank by themselves right now. Gonna let the tank cycle for about a week then check the levels and see if its safe for fish. I thought I caught it early enough to fight everything but it seems I lost this battle :(
