Hello DKRST;
You are right about shrink kits for submersible connections and your last post says the same thing I said earlier. I would forget advice from friends and relay on the safety guides from building inspectors they know all of the rules. The point of building inspectors ensures the safety of the building and wiring. If you follow the safety rules anybody can safely wire a project no matter if you are moving, changing or installing the circuit.
