My new fancy rocks don't look as nice as they do in person... I think it may have been the angle I was shooting

The rock we picked up in the Carribean

Gratuitous fish shot LOL

The algae is going swimmingly.... I have a big fat mess of it in the refugium part of the sump! I had to scrape some off when I did some maintenance in there yesterday and added the nano powerhead, but only enough to see in and mount the powerhead. I have touches of it in the main tank, but my CUC is doing a good job keeping everything nice looking.

I know, horrible of me to have fakeys!!! LOL!!!
Since the 10g could potentially have meds put into it if someone gets sick... I just wanted some color and movement without having to worry about corals being in there. Plus I got them both for a BUCK brand new still in pkg from the guy I got the $3.50/lb live rock from! They are $8 a piece @ Walmart!

I forgot to add... I finally replaced the bulb that was in the fixture when I got the tank... (the 65g) it was a ZooMed 5500K and WAY old... Replaced it with a 50/50 daylight/actinic bulb. It looks a lot more purpley! I can't wait to get my new fixture. Gosh! That is the biggest thing holding me up on corals!

BTW-I am planning on keeping the one-strip 36" T8 fixture that is there, and my new one will be a 4-bulb 36" T5, w/moonlight LEDs and fans. That should be plenty enough light for corals and an anemone, right?? Mixing the T5 fixture bulbs, half actinic, half daylight?

OMG...i just caught back up on your build.....your progress is phenomenal and your tanks is looking beautiful..... i cant wait to watch it unfold, i lke how your goby just sits in the one cave n watches ha mine does the same....actually i think mine has problems, when i introduce new fish they lke to swim close buy it n it likes to leap half way out at them and open his mouth which scares me n them, yet one of his caves he shares with the purple lobster who was there b 4 him n used to scare him, and at the other end of the cave he occasionally lets the fish rest so idk, but lovin yo tank, i hope u get led's i want them they look so nice and are way better

Well, I am late to the party but I have to say it is a blast to be able to watch the progress of a tank build all in one day. ha ha It looks awesome! I am not brave enough to do salt water as I am far too new to the hobby but I am in awe of all salt water tanks.

In the one video it looked as though your shrimp was tryng to go after your little yellow fish. Are there any concerns of that? What about if your clownfish do end up mating, would you take them out of the big tank? Would the shrimp eat the babies?
