it would prob. also be a good idea to make/buy a look down box for photo taking purposes, cant wait to see some awesome shots!

No Macro Lens yet, but time will tell. I probably will since it will get good use with my Wildlife photography as well

Maximus is adorable, Steve, and as always your reef shots are fantastic. There is so much detail in the pics you took with the new camera - especially the first one where you can see so much of the texture. I don't know much about photography, but the macro lens that was suggested would allow you to take close up pictures in even greater detail, right?

Again, awesome pics, thanks for sharing! And if you ever need somebody to watch that puppy of yours...

Wow absolutely breathtaking. I just took the time to read and look at everything from the beginnings of your 55. I bet it's stunning coming home and seeing that. Your tank and the woodwork with your stand are inspiring. Do you have any tips for those of us interested in building our own stands?

Planning, Patience, and Power tools. :) Actually, there is an entire DIY thread with the complete walkthrough on building the stands. The only difference with the newer stands capable of fitting a sump, is a few modifications to allow more room underneath. The center brace in the back was eliminated and replaced by a support beam that spans the with of the back. The front facing 2x4 supports in the front were replaced by 1x4's.
