Poor ol TR. He spent all this time building the most grand nano only to get a few micro bubbles. He is planning on throwing it all away. He says his pump is to large and drawing water so quickly through the sump that bubbles go right through the traps. I was going to tell him to cut a TEE into his piping above his return pump, add a valve on the outlet side and run it back over to the "wet" side of his sump back where the suction line empties. That way he can restrict the speed of water falling from his tank , slowing down the speed of water in his sump, and have the ability to regulate it by recycling the water. But how can you suggets that when he has given up all hope.

That is very impressive, Steve!

I see there are two pipes running from the bottom of the tank to what appears to be the same place in your filter. Did you add two so it could move more water and each is functionaly equivelant?

Also, how does a reef ready tank differ from a regular tank?

I wish I could go go down the reef road myself but the puffer fish I can't part with would devour everything.

The differences are that a reef ready has the over flow built into the tank already and it will never overflow. And a regular tank you need to purchase a over flow box ito get the water from the main tank to the sump.

Ya cause if i did that it would make everything better wouldent it mike? NO, no more trips the the hardware store, not more wasting my time and money, im sick of it. sure i could fix the bubbles but that wouldent solve all my problems would it mike. Wouldent fix the noise, wouldent fix the ugly stand, wouldent make the tank fit im my room any better, wouldent fix the p.o.s. pc fixture, wouldent make the tank live up to my expectations. I may have found something much better. And im not throwing it all away, im selling most of.(case anyones interested send me a pm)

You cant just give up like that. You put all that money into it and now your going to throw it away. Thats not a good attitude towards it. Me and CRM have ran into problems with our setups before( at least I did) I didnt just drop it and walk away. I fixed it and moved on. If I couldnt I learned to live with it. Dont let something this easy take you down. well steve I want to see a whole bunch of SPS's in there next week.

Now that's a persuasive ad for this equipment if I ever heard one ;)

Mike, thanks for explaining what a reef ready tank is.

Steve, I'm looking forward to seeing more pics, too!
