Not surprising at all really. The dogfish or dogshark was only 2 feet or less and the octopus get huge here. Once saw on caught in a crab trap that the body was over 26 inches across. How it fit in the crab trap I have no clue. The total size was so big that it filled the trap and was in there eating the crab and the fish carcuss.

I wonder how big a tank I would have to have to get a Giant Pacific Octopus?
