I have not kept a Sohal at home due to tank size concerns. This fish grows large and becomes EXTREMELY aggressive in tight quarters. I have had the experience of caring for aquariums with Sohals and I can tell you from what I have seen and discussed with clients, I would not keep a Sohal in anything smaller than a 280 gallon tank, with a 400 being much more appropriate. This is one of those fish that has to be taken very seriously when you consider adding it to a community display.

The only exception I might consider would be as a display fish in a 125 or larger reef, with no other fish of size in the display.

Alright man, wheres the new pics! Hehe. Just messing. The tank looks great dude. I cant wait to be able to upgrade. We planned to purchase the current house we are in but have decided this week actually that its not the house we want. Its just not big enough for all of our interests and future plans. So we are going to continue living here for the time being and work on finding a bigger house in the near future. We would obviously all love to have a 220G tank or larger but sometimes its just beyond reason. As much as I hate to face the facts, currently its out of reach for me. However I do see a 55G display and 29G sump within reason I just need to start saving my pennies for the lighting for a 55G tank and then think about making the change.

Until then I will continue cutting my teeth on the 29G and learning the ropes. But Im still waiting on pics to soothe my appetite Keep up the good work Pasfur, awesome job my friend.

Thanks for the compliment. I went fish shopping today, but couldn't find anything interesting. I think I want a Flame Angel next.

My LFS has a small Sohal in a 300 gallon. Spectacular fish. Love your tank BTW... we need new pics.

I will try to take a good video today. Every time I approach the tank every fish goes to beg for food. I can't seem to film realistic behavior like I see from across the room.

Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of my equipment arriving! It is amazing what you can do in a short year. It is also interesting that today, 1 year later, I am just finishing stocking my tank and I am still adding rock to the reef structure. I think it just goes to show that nothing good happens fast in this hobby!
