Awesome and congrats. I'm wanting a clam too, but i'm waiting.

Why don't you check him out from the top. Then you'll be able to see the colors you're looking for.

Very nice. I had no idea that clams had that type of coloring. Very cool.
Your tank is looking sweet.

PS. How was the snowboard trip??

really? You have a topdown photo box? Did you make your own or did you buy it from somewhere? or are you taking a pic from the top with the flow off and the water is all stagnant?

ohh lol, sorry i mis-understood. ive looked at it from the top, but those pictures are obviously from the sides.

no camera box however they arnt hard to make- the camera i have now is my parents and its a garbage just click the button camera. maybe ill pick up a camera and a macro lens, but i have alot to do before i do that. im re-doing my closet and repainting my room with bathroom paint. im having major problems then im prob. focusing on the upgrade. i just got another ballast, 2 more reflectors, endcaps, standoffs from icecap.. thank god they are NJ local. i still have to build the stand, hood, paint the back, pick up 2 hydor 4s, and a few other parts and pieces, transfer what i have over, finally get rid of the last freshwater tank in my room. its prob. going to be a ways from now because like i said im having problems at the moment. i dont think im going to be drilling this tank either, which originally was the plan but i think im just going to stick with the overflow box i have and next tank down the road ill buy a reef ready.

Not a problem, If you do take a picture from above or just take a look at it from the lights view point, you'll find the clam to be much more vibrant in color.

Wow, sounds like you're going all out. Good luck with everything and hopefully you found the FW fish good homes to go to and not just the porcelain express.

That sounds like alot of work, Onefish. Thankfully you had an awesome vacation before having to do so much work. It sounds like you'll need another vacation after all that work is completed!

lol, you dont even know. i started alittle work on the closet and even that was a chore. i had to empty out the closet which sounds easy but it was loaded with crap its like a 1/2 walk-in if that makes sense like its big enought to walk into it but not as big as a full blown closet.. clothes, shoes, fish parts, all sorts of junk. take 2 shelves out, scrub the walls down with a bleach solution and admire my work. lol. my big problem is that i have mold growing due to humidity due to 200 so gallons in my bedroom and its the worst in the closet. i think the plan is to put up paperless sheet rock and paint w/ bathroom paint as it is mold/mildew resistant. any color suggestions? then its going to be 1 wall at a time in my room which is going to be a bigger pain due to dressers and tanks and other stuff and a bed and a million posters on my wall... i hate my life lol

Mildew resistant semi gloss would work well against the humidity. I used Kilz Semi-Gloss. I don't like using enamel paint because it's too shiny. I'm sure removing the dressers & such will be easy enough but removing and salvaging your posters will be a major pain. Color suggestions?? You're the color maestro! What color flooring/carpet is in your room? Since you're going all out you maybe you should do some type of faux finish? That would be awesome. With your artistic ability you'll have no problem creating a great effect. I did that type of finish in the alcove behind my tank and it looks really nice. I have to hunt down a photo so I can show you....I'm proud of it because it's the one & only time I tried something that actually turned out nice. Most of my work is sub-par...
