I'm truly sorry to hear this. I hope the other three are going to survive. Is there no way to tell what #4 died from? Other than its size there were no other symptoms leading up to its death?
#1, 2 & 3 are behaving normally?? Stupid questions from me, of course you've already considered all this...

no idea.

this is my understanding. wild caught specimen usually die after having them in your aquarium for a short period, a few days, weeks, months due to cyanide poisoning ( the methods of catching )
as for tank bred, i have heard of some just going in the first few days. i dont know if they dont transition well or what, but others from my club jumped on this deal and they all got a few, pretty much all claiming loosing 1 or 2.

some beams

some side shots of beams

some cutting notches in beams
\
where they are going

some nails had to be ground off as well.
thats as far as i got today. need a full day to drain the pipes, shut off some electricity and cut 4 copper pipes and two wires.
progress is progress.
i also screwed the doors back on

Awesome progress! Your dad finally came around. I wonder if the death of your bangaii spurred him to action? Whatever it was I'm glad you're back at it. After the beams are completed is that the end of the physical help you'll be needing as far as your dad is concerned? If so, great. I can start getting excited again...

sorry to see you lost some of the fish, that's a shame,i like those.
nice to see you're getting things done.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

well, i appologized and took my moms car to a car wash, lol. it was covered in salt from snow.

after the beam, thats basically it. im going to need alittle assistance on wiring up 2 more bulbs to my lighting which i plan on just doing a simple mock up while i can build a matching canopy for the tank. i also need to plumb the sump but im contimplating if i should drill a hole in the side for the pump for my skimmer. then im going to get this plastic matting they sell at home depot to put under the stand just incase theres an accident. after all of that it should be smooth sailing filling her up.
