I've got to say, I've been following this thread and really enjoy it. I don't know much about SW but I love where you're going with the stand and am really excited to see it all finished!

where would you put another big tank up stairs ?
will the floor hold ?

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

the floor will hold with this one but my fathers the one that wants to reinforce the beam in the basement. i guess because the roof down there is already exposed so he just wants to do it.

most likely i will not be setting up another big tank atleast not anytime soon. i plan on just doing this one and doing the 115 alittle further down the road. i guess we will see.

can't say i blame you for holding off at the moment, you've got
this mammoth task to fill your time,
will the new one be salt also ?

sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

sure will. the down side is that its 30'' deep so lighting becomes issue. its not so big of a problem but an issue. however im not even worried about all of that yet.

i go to TA, thats Tanks Anonymous.
One tank at a time.
