Is the ati purple plus like the kz fiji purple? if so that's almost the identical bulb selection i recommended disneycoral to use. when using this combo you have to do white balance on the camera then take the picture. the colors in the picture will then be realistic. and trust me, when your eyes adjust to the colors you'll be happy that you went towards the blue spectrum.
ATI just started making the Purple Plus recently as a competitor to the kz fiji purple. According to what I have read the bulbs are nearly identical. Here is a pretty good T5 info resource I've found http://home.comcast.net/~stevelarsen00/site/?/home/

Thanks for the tip with the white balance. I've got a Nikon 60 but I am more familiar with the setting used to take pictures of sports than the ones I need for my reef.

Thats a Blue polyp Stylo. The polyps do look a lot like a birdnest but the shape of the coral is different.

I recently setup an Auto topoff system and once I start to trust it I think I am going to use limewater (kalkwasser) in it to try to keep up with demand. Recently I've had a tough time keeping my DkH over 7 despite nearly daily dosing of ESV 2 part. Parameters are still pretty good though. I feel like ever since I added the clam the overall consumption of my system is way up.

good job! do you run a sump? if yes you might want to surface skim and pull all that surface film away and your maintenance will be alot less too because the waste will be pulled out before it breaks down especially if you use a protien skimmer.
