I bought my wife a new cheapo Canon digital camera the other day. It has an aquarium setting on it so I took a few to test it out. Takes pretty good pictures, ignore the smudges and algae spots on the glass heh.

Long yellow haired hippie polyps

big red mushroom with a couple babies

Zoas can be weeds too these white/pink mouthed palys started as a frag of about 7 about 6 months ago. There's hundreds now and they are in multiple parts of the tank.

New colony of same zoa on other side of tank.

Pretty but fast spreading weed too. Daisy polyps

Red people eaters, Bam Bams, whammin watermelons, bland uncolored wild orchids.

My nice torch. One head torch at the bottom I bought for a friend's tank it was bleached out white but has colored up now about a month and half later:

macro setting ( which i think all cameras have, unless you need to get the macro lens ) takes good pictures of things in the tank up close.

do your clowns host your torch?

My clowns don't host in anything unfortunately. At night they just hang out at the front corner of the tank.

Yeah the macro setting and the ability to set your own ISO speed is what helps take decent pictures. Any of the pics with clear focused fish I took in manual mode at 800 ISO with macro on. The rest were in the aquarium mode with macro on. Not bad for a $79 Canon Powershot.

I'm definitely happy with the way the tank has progressed in 8 months! If you look at the first page of pictures huge transformation

It's actually a 90 it was sold to me as a custom 75 then I measured it and found it to be a 90. It's also 5 ' long instead of the standard 4'. Everything in the tank gets along. I don't see much chasing. I wouldn't put another fish in there though now all the damsels went in at the same time and have been in there 10 months.

Haven't stopped by for a while. It's been a busy summer. I sold my 40 breeder reef and just have the 90 now. I found I'd rather care for one tank then two.

New pics wanted to get some pics up I'm changing out the 50/50 VHOs with actinics next week (still using 20k halides) so these are the before pics:

Due for some xenia exterminating:
