this is my 5.5g nano reef

this is our little piece of ocean. obviously now that we've started into the marine we all ready want a big one! though i like the smallness of this tank. you'll have to excuse the algea.

Your tank is cute..What do you have in there as far as fish?

We will be starting a marine reef in march, I can't wait.
How many tanks do you have squiggles?

in there are a blue leggd hermit crab, a crimson crab, a coral banded shrimp and an oscellarous clown. plus anenomes that came with the rock. we have this tank, a 30g fw, a 10g tall fw, a 12g brackish and a12g fw, oh and a little beta bowl...i think that's all. everytime i turn around another's popping up!lol

Your tank sound lovely.

haha I know the feeling we have 5 fw tanks running.

What a cool little tank. :P One day I would like to try my hand at nano reefs.
Do you find the up keep of such a little tank hard?

no, i don't find the upkeep hard. i can't imagine with a huge one though now that we have a small one! it's so easy to do water changes with this one, 2g a week, so that's no sweat. plus we didnt have to buy a protein skimmer, we just have an aquaclear mini and an aqua tech filter for current, with no media in them. we we're lucky to find such cool looking small pieces of lr, it makes it look big even tho it's not.
