mullinds, it would be great if you could show me a picture of your skimmer while it is runnung. or if u have any tips for controlling the amount of wet foam cuz mine is filling up a 5 gallon bucket every 3 hours and i clean it and dont really see what i did wrong in the setup. it has been running for about 2-3 weks. would love to hear your thoughts.

im not sure if this is what you meant but dont clean the skimmer, atleast not until it needs it which should be as often as you've stated. im not sure what brand/model you are using but usually its either a tower that raises up or down or a gate valve that opens/closes.

Jake do you have the turbo flotor multi sl as well? I had lots of problems getting it setup (all my fault), but once it gets going, trust me, it gets the job done big time. What you need to do is make sure you put the pump together correctly. I had the nozzles on the pump switche which caused the same problem you are getting. Do you see any microbubbles filling in the chamber? If not, you probably put the pump together wrong. Make sure you have the venturi line set up as well, and make sure it is completely dry (so you want to connect it while it is out of the water. Also, make sure it is raised somewhat (like on the side of the sump).

i really like the rock layout.....from what i've seen the xenia can take up a lot of space so id put it in a spot where it wont interfere with anything else, or at least away from the frogspawn.

I liked the layout a lot to, but I had to change it I had absolutely no room in the front of the tank because I had the rocks scooted forward.... I scooted things back, and I changed the rockwork around... looks a little barren, but this is okay becaues I plan on introducing more corals over the next month rather than any fish.
