The angelfish is definitely a Coral Beauty Angel, Centropyge bispinosis. This is the same species that I have in my 54 bowfront reef. I have not had any difficulty with my Coral Beauty, but the fish has a reputation of having mixed success in reef environments. On the bright side, they are extremely hardy and long lived. I would keep it.

Yeap, he is such a beautiful fish under the lighting. I love the color he has, but I would prefer a flame. I am going to stick with the coral though! BTW, that gramma I thought died.... is swimming around in the qt now..... odd behavior

I think the aquascaping looks nice. Some good shelf space and nice cave work. You may want to focus some water flow down around the bottom area to ensure that the base of your reef does not become a detritus trap.

Yeah, I added my other hk 3 to the tank yesterday, so I think I have some pretty good flow going on. I think I have just been looking at the tank to much, and I get the urge to just do something: like change the aquascape. Tomorrow is a big day for the tank though; I will be picking up a much better sump with 3 chambers: one for a refugium.

I added a new sump today. 20 gallon long; it is perfect for everything to fit in there. I will post some pics later... no sand bed or mud because of removable baffles. just chaeto and live rock in refugium

The Coral Beauty will be fine with soft corals and polyps. One of the only pygmy species to leave corals alone "for the most part". It should do great if you decide to fully reef it out!

I didn't say it was the ONLY, I stated that it was "One of the only". Meaning it's one of very few that won't play "nip and tuck" with coral. Never said a Flame wasn't in the "one of the only" club
