What kind of fish is that in the first pic? Love your puffer! I think that is one of the only fish that would make me consider FOWLR in the future.

Apex Lite, SWC 120 Cone, Ecotech Radion XR30w, MP40

Thanks, Jeff! We only had the yellowdotty back and stars and stripes puffer until recently because our protein skimmer was on the fritz. I'm very happy with our new additions and am looking forward to adding more fish soon.

njudson, the fish in the first pic is a "Princess Parrot Fish" according to my LFS. She's a nice looking fish and she'll supposedly get more colorful as she matures. I saw fish while snorkeling once that looked like her but larger and much more colorful, so I'm hoping it was the same species.

We love our puffer, too! He is more interactive than I ever expected a fish to be. He watches us intently as we move around and sometimes throws "feed me" fits where he writhes back and forth while staring at us, seemingly to get our attention. I'll try to capture it on video to share it soon.

You'd think the puffer would be the issue when adding new fish to the aquarium, but it's actually the yellow dottyback in a big way. There's typically a week's worth of relentless hazing before the dottyback finally allows new occupants to live in peace. Once it does, though, there's rarely a skirmish.

Subject: Larry LaPrise dead at 93

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.
