7 or so more lbs should be enough Live Rock to filter that tank...

yup, that's what I'm planning on getting either later today or tomorrow -- I still have no clue if those little polyps are star polyps, because I have seen the green variety, just not the color I have.

Thanks. I didn't know you could upload linked thumbnails like that. They look like star polyps, but they could be zoas. I can't really tell from the angle...and the fact they might need to spread a bit...

ahh thanks for the info -- I want to do as much research on this as so not to kill them.

right now I have not fed the tank -- it's been up for 3 days and I'm just waiting -- i have no idea what to do next, except just top off water -- there's already foam in the skimmer, though not much and I've emptied all the bio balls and also the prefilter pad.

I've only done a temperature measurement and salinity test

80 deg F
1.023 - 1.024 gravity

I haven't found the right master reef test -- but I bought an API test just in case.

I can't wait until i'm able to add fish. tomorrow i'm going to be adding another 7 lbs of live rock to complete the tank, hopefully in 2 pieces.

i have pink star polyps.

i would say thats most likely star polyps if not a xenia or clove polyp.

man i'm so stoked -- I found more stuff growning underneath the star polyps. i'll have more pictures once they are bigger -- they are growing, but just really slowly. I hope whatever happens next doesn't kill them off
