Talking Braceless 40x12x18 build

Here's the next chapter in the never ending upgrade. I seem to change tanks every few months, hopefully this is the last one for a while. I doubt it though..

It's a lovely braceless 40x12x18 which is about 145 litres/39 US gallons.

I saw it at the LFS going 2nd hand and asked how much out of curiosity, he said call it 50 so I didn't hang around.

I have planned absolutely nothing so far so ideas are welcomed.

Here's the holding tank -

And the new tank -

A quick clean in the shower -

A fill test -

Chucked some light on it quick for the hell of it -

After the clean.

I haven't really planned anything to be perfectly honest.

Any ideas?

Here's where I'm at as of about 5 minutes ago, testing the cabinet in the closest-to-the-tap spot I could find.

i know a few members on here who can give more info than me but i would suggest drilling with either a glass holes kit or bring it to a shop and get it drilled .. everything i have read and researched points to this being 100x better than a traditional over the wall overflow set up..... as for the rest its really your gig so we can toss tons of ideas at you but its what you want to keep up with LOL i mean were it me i would say reef... and TONS of corals.... softies and LPS in particular not for any other reason than the variety and the wonderful interactions you can witness...

A quick update just to show you the holding tank. I was running it on T8's but I now have a combination of LED and ODNO T8's. The difference is remarkable. The tank has just completely come alive.

Here it is under T8's.

And LEDs main/ODNO actinic.
