Yes, a 46 is too small. These fish grow to be over a foot. The 46 bow is only 36" wide. That doesn't really leave a lot of swimming room. I had to upgrade to a 150 after I bought a Hippo.

Maybe a Potter's Angel, or a Coral Beauty Angel. Also there are some nice wrasses that can make it in a 46 gallon, like a Fairy Wrasse or Flasher Wrasse. Maybe a Helfrichi Firefish? There are nice looking Jawfish and Gobies that would look nice in a 46 also.

I feel like i need some sort of center piece/slightly larger or more colorful fish. What can you suggest besides the hippo? Also, what types of gobies?

And what do yall think about the Cherub Angelfish?

I have in my 46

1 clown
1 coral beauty angle
2 sleeper gobies
2 turbo snails
3 bumble bee snails
10 hermit craps

at this time looking to add maybe clown pair (after moving my other clown to his new home) a mystery wrasse and a royal gamma to finish off

We decided on a fireball angelfish a few weeks or so ago. I'll post some pics soon. The guy at the LFS store said it would be a great match for our tank. what do you guys think?

Right now I have the tank stocked with 2 onyx clowns, a fireball angel, and a 6 line wrasse. What else do you guys think i can/should add? Do you think i still have room for a jawfish or gobie like mentioned earlier by wake?

Thanks guys. Dont wanna add anything to my tank that isnt gonna make it.

is thos strictly a FOWLR? if not start working on fraggs and other inverts just a suggestion... oh and btw Very nice job on this tank it looks great!! :)

I got a few in there. Theres some zoas, a frogspawn, some star polyps and a mushroom. guy at LFS also gave me some free montipora so I have that in there too. Ill see if she will take some more/better pictures for me tonight
