hmmmm

when housing fire fish it should be in a pair for the best outcome in a smaller enviroment...no known external differances in sex to my knowledge...i aquired my pair by carefully watching the two in tanks next to each other and determined they had no quarrels with each other...since you already have one you may have to try another fire fish to get a 50% chance of an opposite sex...once you do have a pair they stay side by side and come out much more...sorry to hear about the jump...they are very prone to that...

I would recommend just going with 1 dwarf angel in a tank you size. Whether or not they will nip corals is more or less up to luck with many reefers reporting experiences of nipping and non nipping specimens.
