lol, IKR, but they are amazing specimens. I bought one for a tank I used to maintain. I stopped and it died... it was almost. 4 in in diameter... poor thing

they are wonderful to look at but a lot of work as well.everyday i need to check the salinity and dkh as the corals wont open if it's too high or too low.a lot of tinkering around most of the time and the constant wc to lower the no3 and po4 levels

Do pet store like Mr Pets have coral do you have to order all of it online? I showed to pictures to my mom and saw her do a quick glance at my betta tank. She couldn't believe you could get a tank to look like that! She also asked it all that coral was legal . . . Yes mom, its illegal and so many people have tank like this.
Parents . . .

there are some that are illegal, but you can't get out of Greece with them, so no worries there.

pearl2011 pls tell your mom i'm from Malaysia and all those corals were grown on farms or fragments from other fellow reefers in my state.they are all legal.i do not buy them online but from lfs that sell only marine products.
you might want to try dr foster and smith they sell corals and a lot of other aquarium related products.most of their coral is also grown on farms and not wild.they tag the corals so only buy the farm ones they are hardier.
