Woah! it's an update! Everything is going well. I still don't have a fish in the tank yet, and i'm not sure what i want in the tank, but i'm seeing some really good growth!
I've added some zoas to the picture and i took the toadstool out, it's back in the 55g and it's getting bigger.
Zoas first

Xenia

Devilshand Frag

GSP

and finaly the FTS

all in all, i'd have to say it's starting to look like a real tank!

its about time we had an update! its looking fantastic.

now . . . to plumb it into the main tank . . . lol.
alot of folks consider that cheating when it comes to nanos or picos but that would allow you to either easily add a clown goby or something of the sort or not add any fish at all, the water params would be crazy stable and the tank would take off. prob. not what your looking to do but its just a thought.

oh, believe me i've thought about that quite a bit. I've even considered taking the tank down, temperarily of course and drill it from the bottom, then build it's own stand and drill a hole into the center of that and then put the overflow there (it may be in the back right but not sure, and have the water pour into the overflow and through the hole and plumb it into the 55g sump (which isn't up btw) and it'll be great... well see what i'll do.

Sweet tank. I'm still amazed that a 2.5 can have so much life & color going on inside it. I want one.

Thank you, i'm amazed i can keep it alive too . JK it's really easy to do, you just have to be on top of the redundancy. With no fish, i'm not overly worried about certain things. I don't feed the tank at all it's all growth off the light alone.

that is soooooo amazing! I cant beleive you were able to do all that in such a tiny tank! Are you gonna put in any shrimp or crabs, or just coral?

Xenia?

You're a brave man to grow such a weed in a small tank!

I'm not worried about them over growing the tank. The zoas will also take over the tank, but i do want life in the whole tank and i'm also wanting every rock to be covered with life!

As for the fish... I'm not sure, i may throw in a clown.
