Thanks.

I should be getting a PAR meter this week, at some point. Someone from my Local Club, DFWMAS is going to let me borrow theirs... I'm exited. You'll get some pics with real #'s with just the actinics and with all the lights on. I think i may also do my display reef too... we'll see.

Oh, i know it. I'm going to. I should be able to do it all in one day, but I'm going to use the's to get an idea of how much light i'm going to need to go over my 55g... That's going to be a project, but i can't wait! Next month i'm going to start purchasing the equip i need to get that started, but look for a light build for the 55g in the next few months.

True, but i already have a 55g. It'll be more effecient to run the LED's rather then my MH bulbs. I'm not going to waste money on getting another tank just to upgrade to my future tank (about 550g). That's just unwise spending

I still don't see a point in getting a new stand tank and canopy or building it, though i don't have any tools to do so. I'll just build this and get that under my belt and have a better understanding of the PAR availible plus how to wire it better and help those who will need it if they decide to build their own. With my large tank is going to be powered by natural light and some solar panels and wind! (if it rained more i would look into a hydropower supply, but it only rains for a day or 2 and then stops and then we don't get anymore rain for another month... true some times)
