Purple or blue it's no matter, as it's beautiful. Aren't clams notorious for being difficult to keep?

They can be, but with good husbandry it can be quite simple. Although they do like to be in the rock rather then on the sand. That's how they are naturally in the wild.

Tank looks great. no top down shot? You know clams look different from above

They are suppose to be treated like sps and great lighting I hear, I heard they prefer sand over rock?

This is what I have now in my tank it is a 75g and 40gL sump

Refugium Information: 40G Long /12 Inches Long, 4inch Sand bed, live rock , 2 sticks of mangrove, chaeto algae, snails, hermit crabs

I am still blown away by this thread. I just read it all again from beginning to end, and I must say you win my vote for newby of the year 2009. You did an amazing job. Looking back to April 2009 you really had no idea where to begin. But you took it all in, took some of the advice with a grain of salt, and made this your own work.

Today the tank just looks great. The fish look great, the corals look great, and the entire project is an impressive tank. Very nice job. I may link this threat a lot going forward.

It's a beautiful tank! well done. Can't wait to see more pictures as more things start to catch, grow and spread. What made you decide to start thinking about a 120G tank?

I'm a NEWBIE and have absolutely no clue what I'm doing at this point, but looking into starting my first 75g tank so this thread has truly been an inspiration. Please continue posting more pictures, this is very exciting to watch.
