Getting some starter fish tomarrow aswell as some live rock. But here it is with nothing but Crushed coral....
crushed coral seems to trap detritus and debris causing un-wanted excess nutrients. where is your live rock? what are you water parameters? what are "starter fish?" what are you using for filtration? whats the flow like in the tank? what kind of light? what kind of tank are you planning? what other details?
I can tell just from looking at the picture that we have a lot to discuss before you make this leap. It looks like you are using an Emperor as your primary filter, which is the exact opposite of what you should be considering in a marine system.
Lets talk and prevent some mistakes up front. What type of livestock are you looking to keep long term?
