I would definitely place my tank in the living room or most used space in the house. Letting my imagination run with what our tank will hopefully look like, make it so difficult to imagine a home NOT having a saltwater aquarium. Such an exciting hobby!

No doubt! Believe it or not, I don't even watch the the 60" HDTV. My job is pretty stressful and I also get insomnia, so i sit in a recliner and watch the moon lights shimmer and the nocternal creatures come out at night to feed until i pass out! lol

Oh, nice!
We don't have a "formal" living room, but we have a family rm that is attached to the living room, that has the fireplace and is a playroom now (used to be the office before we went to all laptops). I have a 50" plasma tv on the N wall (65g tank is on E wall) so I can sit here and look at one or the other. And the 10g is in the corner next to the tv surround. I can sit here and watch them all. (Which is especially helpful when I want to spend time with Hubby and he wants to watch something I don't... LOL!)

I try to take monthly updated pictures to see progress in the tank. It's very difficult to see progress from day to day since it so slow. This way i can tell if some of the adjustments taken are actually positive or negative. i will try to post an updated video of my tank when i get a chance.

Gosh, its just so pretty it looks like those $800 perfect fake coral sculptures!!! So nice!!

lol, i have challenges too. look at the very top of the last picture and you'll see one of the most challenging corals i have. the darn coral was bought brown with the the idea it will color up when it has acclimated. It's been at least 3 to 4 months now and all it has done is turned tan with a slight hint of green. I had to remove a flame angel out of the tank because it was nipping at corals and that causes stress and polyps not to open. now all polyps on the corals are opening but still the coral looks tan. There is still hope because the hint of green is there. we'll have to wait and see, cause this process can take 6 months or more. so i'm being patient,
