IMO a reef, esp a SPS dominant is best understocked. did you do the tank construction yourself or is that it sitting in a LFS? also what camera/lens as they are some fantastic shots |
The hippo is gone . I have no idea what happened to him. I had him for like 6 months and then one day i come home and he was dead. everything else was ok so i guess he died of some illness unknown to us. I jusut forgot to mention the 3 clowns that i have and still do to this day. They are about 9 years old now and spawn just about every month! the yellow tanng is about 6 years, the chromis are about 10 years old.
As far as understocking a sps reef you are correct unless if your filtration is oversized. My skimmer is HUGE for my tank so i can stock just about any amount of fish i'd like to keep as far as bioload is concerned. When i feed my tank, corals and fish have to eat fast otherwise the skimmer will remove the food almost as quickly as i put it in .
The tank was designed by me and was built by a local aquarium builder here wheere i live.
The camera i use is a point and shoot cannon G9. other than resizing the pictures thats how the pics come out of the camera. In real life the colors are alittle nicer in my opinion. The camera has a hard time adjusting to the intense and spectrum of the lights.
