Mike's Ten Gallon Reef Build!!!

These are some pics of my ten gallon reef. I also have some stats listed below. Tell me what you think.

STATS:

Lighting: Compact Flourescent 40 watt unit combo daylight/actinic

Filtration: Subcurrent internal filter, Live Rock (approx. 9 lbs), and a protien skimmer

Substrate: Aragonite

Temp: 76F

Organisms:

Colt Coral
Xenia Coral
Flame Scallop
6 Margarita Snails
1 Cerith Snail
Blue Devil Damselfish
Purple Psuedochromis
Live Rock

whats the filter for? how deep is the substrate? the grain size seems large?

and just for the heads up i have never heard of a long term success story with the flame scallops

Yeah I know I just wanted to give the scallop a try. And the filter is for circulation and removal of leftover flake food.
