Thanks. I'm hoping to get this 100% stocked in less than 4 weeks. By then, the tank would be almost 3 months old.

I would have added more corals yesterday, but I didn't have enough water after my water change. So I will this weekend.

Things to still be moved over...

-Red Mushrooms
-2 more Astreas
-Frogspawn
-Two rocks of Zoas
-One more Kenya Tree with a Mushroom
-Flower Anem
-Clown
-YWG (oh, that's going to be fun)
-Some rock. Yes, only some. I don't really want any more rock as of right now, but I will defiantley add some in.

I'll move either 2 or 3 more over this weekend. Most likely at least one rock of zoas, and a few red mushrooms. The Frogspawn unfortunatley has to be last.

Wow Cody, it's looking good. I love the way you did your lay out & rock set up. Very cool. It'll be fun to finally see the fish in it.

Cody: quick question... with the way you have your powerheads oriented (pointing upwards toward the surface), do you run into circulation/dead-spot problems around the bottom of the tank, parcticularly in corners and/or near rocks?

I have a similar setup of the powerheads in my tank (90 gal, two K4 powerheads, one on each side, pointed at surface). it's nice, because it (A) avoids a sandstorm, and (B) provides nice surface aggitation. But I've worried about circulation problems in the lowest parts of the tank. I haven't had any cyano outbreaks, and don't really have crazy diatom problems, but I still worry.

Just wanted to hear your two cents on the topic.

Conger, I will be purchasing another K1 once everything is brought over. I am seeing a few dead spots behind my rocks, and I will position one back there somewhere. I'm not really having cyano problems anymore; it is just sort of a little hair algae with some diatoms. It is still not fun to look at, though.

coming along great! i dont remember if you mentioned but are you planning on running a sump or hang on skimmer on this one?


conger, theres a K4 mod that involves taking a maxijet mod kit ( the sureflow 1600 ) and you use the impeller. its about $15 for a kit and you would need 1 kit per powerhead. it only works for K4s but it basically doubles the flow. infact, it would be some great flow going through your 90.

I had a big day today. I went and bought another clown, and now I have two clowns doing great in my 40G. I also brought over the frogspawn. Now I just have to get my goby, flower anemone, possibly some xenia, a kenya tree, and some rocks over. Then we're done.
