Well, I got my filter in today. Works very well. I has to adjust it a lot so it wouldn't blow sand around in a corner, but now it is perfect. Now, my tank is being turn-overed 40 times per hour (400gph now). Soon to be more when I install my fuge.

No, I just go by fuge.

Anyways, all of my Hermit Crabs were down looking at different shells yesterday. My biggest one was switching between a new one, and his old one, and decided to keep the old one. My smallest crab was fighting for that same shell! Very fun to watch. In the end, only one switched out.
I will try to upload pics soon.

And my filter is doing amazing! I have no scum on the surface anymore, and everyone seems to love it. Just have to order tubing and a return pump now (and baffles).

If a newb were to read this thread and googled the word "fuge", do you think they would get any hits? Doubtful. Remember, we are here to teach as well as learn. General "slang" can be used in conversation with the well versed, but we would loose the newcomer.

Thanks! I'm not sure on a stocking list yet, as I have a lot of things I want to choose from. Once I decide, I will let you know.

For everyone else interested, here is my planned setup for the fuge (refugium). Not too detailed and made on MS paint, but it helps me visualize.

The HOB fuge looks like a good idea, although i do see a problem with the baffles, the flow of the intake could be strong enough to blow bubbles underneath the baffle system, by adding another baffle at the start of your system, the bubbles wont get blown underneath and youll have far lest bubblage. looks like a great idea, any idea on the pump youll use?

Thanks for the heads up. Then, I might just add another 2.5" by 6" (I may change the 2.5" to 3") in front of the big baffle.
I plan on using a Micro-Jet Pump 320. A fellow reefer I know uses it, and it is pretty quiet, and I need this quiet.

Sorry for lack of updates; nothing new has been going on. Instead of buying plumbing supplies, I have found a bunch of really nice Zoas for sale online from a few other reefers, which I plan on getting 10 polyps for some Eagle Eye Zoas, and 20+ polyps of either Whammin Watermelon or Blue Star Zoas. Total for the EE's will be like $20 (this is w/ shipping), and $30-35 for the Whammin or Blue Stars.

BTW, I tested my params yesterday after a top-off, and if anyone cares, here they are:
-SG: 1.024
-Ammonia: 0ppm
-'trites: 0ppm
-'trates: Under 5ppm
-pH: 7.9 (I know, I know)

And, I plan on going to a different LFS tommorow to see if they have Joe's Juice, and maybe get a frag of something.

Question: Anyone know if I can keep some Montipora Digitata? I have read and seen it is the most tolerable SPS, and can live in high PC with a godo amount of flow. I have one rock very close to the surface which gets a ton of flow, which I would probably restrict for the SPS only.
